Gas Prices Drop By 2.2 Cents
Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 2.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.83/g on Monday, Dec. 22, according to Gas-Buddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 15.0 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 10.3 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has decreased 4.3 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $3.575 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $2.50/g on Sunday, Dec. 21, while the most expensive was $3.34/g, a difference of 84.0 cents per gallon. The national average price of gasoline has fallen 5.7 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.79/g on Monday. The national average is down 26.4 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 21.4 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to Gas-Buddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
