Senior Profile
Since moving to the area as a freshman, Culbertson High School senior Miguel Loya has been a good fit in the area.
His activities have included being a member of Culbertson’s FFA program where he competed in livestock judging.

He played football in his sophomore year and has been a manager for the team off and on since that time.
“I like being with the team and celebrating our wins,” he said.
Most days after school, he works at a local ranch where he helps take care of cows and performs other duties including baling and fencing.
His hobbies include riding horses and hanging out with friends.
Loya’s favorite classes are history and doing school work with teacher Jeri Gustafson.
His favorite teachers are Gustafson and Dave Solem.
Loya moved from Colorado to Culbertson during his freshman year of high school.
“I like the people here, and it’s easy to make friends,” he said of Culbertson.
After high school, Loya might go to school in order to study welding or might obtain a job in the oil field.
