New Blood At Community Foundation
The Culbertson Area Community Foundation is back in action with Courtney Forbregd in the role of president, Tessa Rumsey as vice president and Amber Fox as secretary/ treasurer, as well as membership including Ken Forbregd, Genea Harris and Amber Shanks.
The foundation is an affiliate of the Montana Community Foundation, which “cultivates a culture of giving so Montana communities can flourish,” according to its mission statement. The groups offer funding to encourage community spirit and enhance the quality of life in northeast Montana.
Fox told the Community News that the foundation’s grants cycle opened Oct. 1.
Fox said, “Our grants program, which will be open from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, is just one example of our commitment to community development.”
Fox said organizers are currently working on revitalizing the group’s Legacy Society, which recognizes those who include the foundation in their estate plans or through planned gifts.
“To ensure the continued success of our program, we would also like to encourage community members to donate to the endowment fund, which will help us establish a permanent legacy of community support,” Fox said.
To learn more about grants or opportunities for donation, visit the group’s Facebook page or call the Town of Culbertson office at 406787-5271. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 292.
