Roosevelt County Holds 4-H Cloverbud Day For Young Students
The Roosevelt County 4-H Cloverbud Day was held at the Roosevelt County Complex on July 9. This day is to celebrate Cloverbuds – or 4-H members that are 5-8 years old. They can bring along helpers and friends too.
The theme for the day was “Under the Sea,” and our buds made shark hats and jellyfish crafts. They also made water color spray water crafts with coffee filters.
Being creative with their cooking skills, they made individual pizzas with choice of toppings. They had to make choices, cut ingredients and cook their own. To help understand community service, they made sea turtles with happy messages for the residents of the Roosevelt Memorial Nursing Home, and created sand cup snacks to eat and share while they had their daily activity.
We represented the 4 H’s properly with our Head, Heart, Hands and Health. The motto of 4-H is-To Make the Best-Better.
