Frackin’ Java Changes Hands Frackin’ Java Changes Hands

Longtime Frackin’ Java owners Laurie and Lee Averil have sold their Culbertson drive-through coffee business to Froid residents Alisha Maiolo and Austin Oelkers.

Maiolo is expected to start serving customers in early August. The new business name will be Sip Stop. The business is located on the south side of U.S,. Highway 2 next to Maria’s Restaurant.

“We are beyond excited to announce that Frackin’ Java, with the famous barista Laurie, is now going to be Sip Stop with barista Alisha,” Oelkers said in a July 18 social media post. “Same location, same delicious drinks. Just a new name and friendly new face in the window” Averil will serve customers at Frackin Java until the business changes hands next month. Hours and menus will stay the same for the time being, according to Oelkers.

“New menu items and updates may come down the road, but our first goal is to keep serving you what you already love,” Oelkers said.

For more information, visit the Sip Stop Facebook page. Hours are currently Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
