Steppler Ranch Fares Well At Ranch Rodeo


Steppler Ranch of Culbertson came away with third-place honors during the Wolf Point Wild Horse Ranch Rodeo held on Wednesday, July 9.
Team members for the Steppler Ranch team were Alex Munoz, Ruben Munoz, James Gorman and Wayne Dewitt.
By placing third, Steppler Ranch automatically qualified for next year’s ranch rodeo in Wolf Point. The squad was awarded $4,000 and custom WHRR halters.
Maxwell Butte Ranch of Powderville captured top honors at the Wolf Point Wild Horse Rance Rodeo held at the Marvin Brookman Stadium on Wednesday, July 9.
The team received $10,000 and buckles for taking first place.
Whiteman Cattle of Richey placed second. The team received $6,000 along with knives and sheaths.
The ranch rodeo consisted of five competitions. Winners of those events included: Branding: Maxwell Butte Ranch Stray gather/doctoring: Whiteman Cattle Trailer loading: SSSS Ranches Cow milking: Maxwell Butte Ranch Bronc Riding: Maxwell Butte Ranch
