County’s Rank Drops In Unemployment Standings
Roosevelt County has now dropped to the 53rd position as far as the unemployment rates for counties in Montana.
The county’s unemployment rate was recorded at 4.4 percent for July.
The other counties in the state with higher unemployment rates were Lincoln at 4.5, Glacier at 4.7 and Big Horn at 5.8.

New Public Health Director Starts Oct. 1
The Roosevelt County Commissioners approved the hiring of Jenny Fuller as the county’s public health director during their weekly meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
Commissioners noted that Fuller is a strong grant writer and has a solid financial background. Fuller is also well versed in crisis coalition. She will start her duties on Oct. 1.

National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day was recognized on Thursday, Aug. 21, and use of the dangerous drug remains an extremely serious problem in Roosevelt County.
