Wolves Perform Well At Baker Meet


Wolf Point’s girls finished with 49.5 points to claim fourth place in the team standings at a track meet in Baker on Friday, April 11.
The top three girls’ teams were Glasgow with 131 points, Glendive with 126.5 and Ekalaka with 70 points.
Wolf Point’s boys scored nine points. Glendive won the meet with 148 points while Glasgow was second with 137 points.
Lady Wolves with second- place honors were Navella Weeks with a time of 28.95 seconds in the 200-meter dash and Adalynn Smith with a time of 1:05.22 in the 400-meter dash.
The 400-meter relay team featuring N. Weeks, Amirah Oleyte, Harper Weeks and A. Smith posted a time of 54.82 seconds for second place.
The 1600-meter relay team consisting of N. Weeks, Cadence Bouldin, Oleyte and A. Smith took third at 4:43.36.
Amya Martinez enjoyed a solid meet by taking third in the discus at 92-5 and sixth in the shot put at 30-1.
Bouldin finished fifth in the 800 at 2:48.32 and fifth in the 1600 at 6:48.68.
Teagan Williams cleared 6-6 in the pole vault for fourth place and 4-4 in the high jump for sixth place.
H. Weeks ran the 300-meter hurdles in 59.93 seconds for sixth place. Marley Moran had a mark of 77-0 in the javelin for sixth place. A. Smith took sixth in the 100 at 14.10 and Oleyte placed sixth in the 200 at 29.86.
In the boys’ division, Sean Hamilton earned second in the javelin with a mark of 1393 and took sixth in the shot put with a best of 40-6.
The Wolves will compete in Sidney on Friday, April 18.
