According to information from the Montana Department of Labor and Industry for November, Roosevelt County ranks 44th in the state with an unemployment level of 3.6 percent. The county’s unemployment rate is 1.2 percent higher than a year ago. There are 4,233 employed workers in the county, which is 69 less than a year ago. Roosevelt County is just ahead of Phillips County at 3.8 percent

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 50 calls from Dec. 22-29. December 22 Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice and Wolf Point Police Department with a weapon offense call in Wolf Point. An adult male supposedly fired a weapon inside his vehicle. The male was reportedly very upset. The Valley County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the search.

Parker Lee GreyHawk is facing three charges in district court including the felony charge of criminal possession of dangerous drugs. Her initial appearance in district court is scheduled for Jan. 10.
