Commissioners Discuss MOU With Of Wolf Point

During the Roosevelt County Commissioners’ regular meeting April 16, Wolf Point Mayor Chris Dschaak was on hand to discuss a memorandum of understanding between the county and the City of Wolf Point to combat blight, including a ranking of potential properties provided by the city.

Dschaak also raised the issue of purchasing a skid steer-style snow blower attachment for use at L.M. Clayton Airport. No action was taken.

The purchase of a John Deere backhoe was approved for the road department in the amount of $32,000, less credit for trade-ins. Commissioner Robert Toavs voted against the purchase.

Pay raises were approved for Ty Smith and Kaigen Roskelley from the treasurer’s office. Suzette Wagner was approved for hire with the Detention Center.

Minutes were approved for the April 9 special meeting, as were minutes from March. The commissioners meet most Tuesdays at 11 a.m.
