Poplar Runners Place At Class B State Meet


Poplar’s girls earned 10th place in the team standings at the Class B state cross country meet held in Kalispell on Saturday, Oct. 21. The Indians had 345 points. Manhattan won the state championship with 93 points. Glasgow placed second with 103 points. Poplar’s sophomore Kacie Colgan finished in 28th place with a time of 21:15.96. Blake Follette earned 37th place at 22:39.18.

Wolves Bring Awareness Through Pink Night


Pink was the color of choice at Wolf Point High School last weekend as Pink Night was held on Friday, Oct. 13, for the football game ahd Saturday, Oct. 14, for the volleyball match. “I like the element it brings to the game,” Wolf Point High School principal Kim Hanks said. “I love the community support for our hospital.” All funds raised went to NEMHS’ mammography department.

Wolf Point High School students were fortunate to receive a performance from the Montana Shakespeare in the Schools program on Thursday, Oct. 12. “It’s going well. The first week is exciting,” program member Brett Garrett said. During the opening week, the tour visited schools in Bozeman, Sidney, Plentywood, Scobey and Wolf Point.
