The 2023 edition of Montana State University’s annual Celebrate Agriculture Weekend will take place Nov. 3-4 on the MSU campus. Hosted by the MSU College of Agriculture and Montana Agricultural Experiment Station, the event recognizes students, alumni and agricultural partners around the state and region, along with MSU’s own agricultural legacy as a key part of its land-grant mission.

With a great crowd for the Wolf Point Stampede’s 100th celebration in July, the Tough Enough To Wear Pink campaign set a local record for funds raised in 2023. The total of $8,038 raised included about $5,700 from the annual golf tournament. The dollars donated locally benefit NEMHS’ mammography department. Fort Peck Tribes Ban Bird Hunting For Non-Members


During the Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board’s regular meeting Monday, Oct. 23, in Poplar, the board voted to close non-tribal bird hunting on the reservation effective immediately. Board member Marva Chapman was the sole dissenting voice in opposition to the move. According to a press release, the vote follows “several altercations and threats of violence against tribal hunters and landowners.”
