Red Hawks Fall Against Scobey

Froid/Lake’s boys’ basketball team dropped its season opener against Scobey by a 60-38 final on Friday, Dec. 8.

Scobey led 17-6 at the end of the first quarter and increased the margin to 31-14 at the half.

The Spartans accounted for 14 points in the third quarter to take a 45-24 advantage.

Mason Dethman finished the game with 17 points to lead the Red Hawks. Also scoring for Froid/Lake were Nate Stentoft with seven, Landon Kelm with five, Joseph Robertson with five, Roberto Orozco with three and Daniel Forizs with one point.

Leading Scobey were John Carney with 14 points and Kolten Machart with 13 points.
