Fairview Nips Bainville Boys In League Play


Fairview edged Bainville, 51-50, in an exciting District 2C boys’ basketball battle held in Bainville on Saturday, Jan. 15. The Bulldogs trailed by a 26-21 half-time margin but closed the gap to 41-38 in the third quarter. Bainville held a 50-49 lead with under a minute to play, but Fairview came away with the victory. The Wolf Point Wolves couldn’t be stopped as they earned an impressive 62-51 home boys’ basketball win over Glendive on Friday, Jan. 14. Garfield Earns Title At Choteau Invite


Wolf Point’s wrestlers started off January in Chester at its mixer. The Wolves had only two student-athletes compete: Chance Smith and Maddox Reum. Other wrestlers went to the snowball dance. “They both wrestled well. They were a combined 3-1,” Wolf Point coach Scott Vandall said. “Chance Smith did great, he got two wins. One was a divisional match-up. Maddox Reum did great. He went 1-1.
