Fairview edged Bainville, 51-50, in an exciting District 2C boys’ basketball battle held in Bainville on Saturday, Jan. 15. Shot clocks and baseball were given approval during the Montana High School Association’s annual meeting in Butte on Monday, Jan. 17. Schools voted the addition of 35-second shot clocks for boys’ and girls’ basketball. In addition, baseball was approved as a sport for the Montana High School Association. 28 Bison Transferred To Tribes Program

Twenty-eight Yellowstone bison were transferred to the Fort Peck Indian Reservation Jan. 13. The transfer was part of a program to divert more disease-free bison away from slaughter. Wolf Point’s wrestlers started off January in Chester at its mixer. The Wolves had only two student-athletes compete: Chance Smith and Maddox Reum.
