Lustre Squads Sweep Dodson

The Lustre Christian Lions swept basketball games against Dodson on Saturday, Jan. 15.

Lustre’s boys posted an 8244 victory over the Coyotes.

The Lions jumped out to a 21-10 lead in the first quarter and increased the gap to 4024 in the second quarter.

Jasiah Hambira led Lustre’s attack with 26 points.

Kaleb Hoversland and Kolden Hoversland added 14 points each.

Also scoring for the Lions were Cayden Klott with nine, Braden Ewing with seven, Alex Chen with six, Clay Reddig with four and Bryan Chen with two.

Lustre’s girls came back for a 53-45 win over Dodson.

The Lions gained a 16-8 lead in the first quarter but trailed 24-23 at the half. Dodson led 36-32 after three quarters of play.

Lustre exploded for 21 points in the fourth period for the 53-45 conference victory.

Alexa Reddig was outstanding with 39 points for the Lions.

Also scoring were Aubri Hulzrichter with nine and Grace Brown with five.
