Bainville Council Appoints Sewer Impact Committee

The Bainville Town Council held their regular meeting at the city office Monday, April 11. Mayor Toby Romo and council members Matt Giese, Nick Tester and Carol Rasmussen were in attendance.

The council appointed a sewer impact committee, which now includes Joe Bingham, Patti Malkuch, Giese and Rasmussen. The council also discussed community service program volunteer plans.

Tammie Richardson from Edward Jones provided an investment report via telephone.

The council decided to stick with Bowker Enterprises for recycling steel in Bainville, rejecting Pacific Recycling.

Mayor Romo provided a financial report, including budgetary information from fiscal years 2020, 2021 and 2022. Discussions about a downward trend in cash balances for the general fund, water fund and solid waste fund are ongoing.

Contents of the treasurer’s report were approved, including claims and checks for April, as well as vouchers, payroll slips and approval of delinquent accounts.

The next regular council meeting is set for May 9 at 7 p.m.
