Cape Air Has Busy Month In February

Cape Air enjoyed a much busier February in Wolf Point than in the recent past.

During the month, there were a total of 491 passengers for Cape Air flights at the L.M. Clayton Airport in Wolf Point.

That amount compares to 303 passengers in Wolf Point during February of 2021.

The only Essential Air Service airport in Montana that was more busy during February was Sidney with 1,101 passengers. Sidney had 869 passengers in February 2021.

Other airport totals for February included Havre at 416, Glendive at 323 and Glasgow at 404.

As far as airline enplanements for the first two months of the year, Wolf Point has 449. Other airports are Sidney at 1,096, Havre at 320, Glasgow at 413 and Glendive at 312.

During the month of January, Wolf Point had 399 total Cape Air passengers. That figure was a decrease compared to 492 passengers in 2021.

For the year 2021, Wolf Point ranked third in the state for Cape Air enplanements with 2,799 only behind Billings at 16,084 and Sidney at 6,843. Glasgow ranked fourth at 2,791 and Glendive was fifth at 1,773.

Last April, Cape Air introduced the Wolf Point community to Cape Air’s new P2012 Traveller Tecnam plane.

The large cabin can accommodate up to 11 seats including a maximum of nine passengers. The plane features under-seat storage for passenger to put items including purses in, a cup holder, USB chargers, heat, air conditioning and overhead lights.
