Senior Profile Perkins Help Lead Way At Culbertson High School

Through his involvement in football and JMG, Aiden Perkins stands as one of the leaders at Culbertson High School.

The senior is the president of Culbertson’s Jobs for Montana Graduates chapter this year.

One of the highlights of the school year was the Glow Run to promote suicide prevention/awareness.

Another accomplishment for Perkins was winning the Maurice Hilleman Inspiration Prize during the Montana Chamber Foundation’s business pitch last spring. His winning business plan was titled “Aiden’s Custom Kicks.”

His favorite activity is football where he earned All-State recognition.

“I like it because of the people and coaches involved,” Perkins said. “I just love the game.”

It was in sports that Perkins received the nickname “Grandpa” from football/track coach Mark Pederson. Perkins received the nickname because he is the oldest in his family and is respected by teammates.

Another of his favorite activities is playing for the school’s pep band. He has been playing the trombone since the fifth grade.

Perkins, who is a student council member, says his favorite classes are JMG and algebra.

His favorite teachers are Mary Machart and Christina Olson.

“I like Culbertson because it’s a small school and I know everybody,” Perkins said. His future plans are to study business at Minot State University. He might also play football for the Beavers.
