Panasuk Makes Not Guilty Pleas

John David Panasuk of Bainville made not guilty pleas to the charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia during a district court hearing on Wednesday, Oct. 13.

The charges were originally filed in May, but Panasuk was just recently located to be arrested.

Maximum penalty for the possession of dangerous drugs charge is five years in prison and a fine of $5,000.

Attorney Christopher White requested a bail reduction from the $25,000 figure.

White noted that Panasuk is a long-time resident of Bainville.

Roosevelt County Attorney Frank Piocos said that Panasuk has a lengthy criminal history and may face additional felony charges. He said Panasuk is a registered violent and sexual offender.

ā€œUnfortunately, Mr. White, Iā€™ve seen your client many, many, many times,ā€ district judge David J. Cybulski said.

Cybulski denied the request for bail reduction.
