Culbertson and Glasgow JMG/YE students teamed up on Wednesday, May 12, to help both schools compete in The Prospects contest, sponsored by the Montana Chamber of Commerce.

Students visited Dustin and Sara Harmon, owners of local coffee roasters Wild Calf Coffee in Bainville. Some students were surprised to learn that their chosen business was located at the end of an unpaved county road. Advisors Jill Page and Mary Machart supervised the visit. Sara Harmon shared her expertise in the development of the business before husband Dustin shared his passion for entrepreneurship.

Both advisors were pleased to hear the Harmons reinforce many of the ideas taught in YE class. The Harmons held up their morning roasting process for the students to see the show first hand.

The second leg of the journey took them to Williston State College in Williston, ND. The group was greeted by a local alumni from Medicine Lake, who graciously introduced two students who led them on a tour the facilities. They visited the dorms, bookstore, financial offices, a huge recreation facility. Two of the Glasgow students on the trip will be attending WSC this fall.
