Culbertson Hosts FFA Culbertson Hosts FFA

By James Walling Coach Jens Nielsen and the Culbertson Future Farmers of America chapter hosted a district meet at the old armory building Jan. 18. Bainville coach Kellan Standley said that the event was a success. “The contest ran super smoothly,” said Standley. “We finished early, which almost never happens, so kudos to Jens. I’m very proud of my varsity students in both ATMS (mechanics) and job interview. As an educator, it’s always rewarding to see their diligent preparation pay off. This group of kids is awesome! As we look forward to district leadership contests next month and state convention, I believe the best is yet to come. Now we’re back to work with practice at 7 a.m. tomorrow.”

In the varsity team mechanics event, Bainville placed first, followed by Richey in second and Culbertson in third. In varsity mechanics individuals, Bainville’s Kaden Hansen and Kaden Goebel placed first and third respectively. Culbertson’s Wyatt Snyder took second place.

Josh Sponheim from Richey took fist place in employment skills, followed by Bainville’s Gianna Boyd and Fairview’s Hannah Sundheim.

Lambert won the JV team mechanics event. They were followed by Hinsdale, Richey and Medicine Lake. JV individual mechanics, Froid’s Sol Grainger, Carolyne Christofferson and Kaylee Olson placed first, second and third.
