Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is negotiating a new lease with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the continued operation of Hell Creek State Park on Fort Peck Reservoir north of Jordan. The current 30-year lease between the two agencies expires in April 2021, but both parties are entering into new negotiations with an eye toward long-term operation of the state park and visitor facilities.

Montana Secretary of State Corey Stapleton has announced the addition of more federal HAVA grant money for this year’s elections. Montana’s award is $3,127,978 with a 20 percent state match of $625,596 for a total of $3,753,574. The state match will be met with the Secretary of State’s expenditures within the enterprise fund.
