Sitting in the Bainville High School gym, senior Donna Butifoker was doing one of the things she most enjoys. She was shooting photos of her fellow students at a volleyball match.

“I take a lot of sports photos and in the community,” Butifoker said of her camera work. “I’ve improved.”

She explains that using her photography skills is part of her journalism class. That activity is part of the many ways that Butifoker stays active in Bainville.

“It’s a pretty good little community,” Butifoker said of Bainville. “It’s very supportive.”

One of her duties is being the chapter’s vice president for Bainville’s FFA program. There are about 20 students active in Bainville’s club.

“There’s a lot to learn and a lot of different areas,” Butifoker said. “It’s very broad.”

She said her favorite categories for FFA include mechanics and floriculture.

“We’ve done well at districts a couple of times,” she noted. “Our chapter hopes to make top three in sweepstakes this year.”

Butifoker, who serves as a cheerleader during basketball season, is a solid member of the Culbertson/ Bainville cross-country team this fall.

“Hopefully, there’s a state title in our future,” she said.

The senior says her favorite teacher is Ms. Disney for art. “She’s knows the subject,” Butifoker said.

Favorite classes include photography and any art classes.

Bainville’s senior class features nine students this year.

“Most of us have been here since junior high,” she said. “It’s like a little family.”
