Inez Kegel

Inez Kegel, 80, of Glasgow died at Valley View Nursing Home in Glasgow on June 27, 2023.

She was born Aug. 7, 1942, in Scobey to Herb and Luella (Belsvig) Brandt. She received her early education at Prairie Dell School and graduated from Peerless High School.

She married George Kegel on Sept. 25, 1966, in Wolf Point and the couple made their home in Peerless.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Peerless. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and helping George on the farm. After her children were grown, she worked in Wolf Point.

She is survived by her husband, George Kegel of Glasgow; sons, Monte Kegel of Livingston and Will “Duke” Kegel of Glasgow; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Floyd Brandt of Oilmont and Walt Brandt of Peerless; and sisters, Alice Drury of Scobey and Ardith Kegel of Great Falls.

Preceding her in death are her sisters, Bernice Meldrum, Verna Brandt and Myrtle Nygaard; and brother, Ray Brandt.
