Rising To The Challenge Softball Tournament Set
For the second consecutive year, the Northeast Montana Health Services is holding the Rising to the Challenge softball tournament at Borge Park in Wolf Point.
NEMHS is challenging local law enforcement, teachers and others to form teams for the June 9-11 tournament. Teams need to be comprised of both men and women.
A free barbecue for the community will be offered starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 11.
Last year, the tournament was held closer to National EMS Week, but officials moved the tournament dates back this year with the hope of having better weather.
EMS providers don’t get into the profession for the high pay, comfortable working conditions, or nine-tofive hours. They get into the profession because of their true desire to help and care for others. When a medical emergency occurs, and others may step back, EMS providers are there to step forward to provide quick, reliable, and quality care to the sick and injured.
The duties of an EMS provider do not stop at providing outstanding medical care but in taking extra steps to ensure provider and patient safety, community preparedness, injury prevention, and taking in the constantly changing profession of EMS through constant training and continuing education.
Northeast Montana Health Services provides emergency medical services to Wolf Point, Poplar, and the surround areas. NEMHS EMS providers include medically trained drivers, emergency medical technicians and advanced emergency medical technicians.
