Bulldogs Score Football Victory In Plevna

After leading by only 12-0 margin at the half, Bainville’s football team dominated action in the second half for a 39-12 victory at Plevna on Saturday night.

Touchdowns for the Bulldogs in the first half came on a pass from Evan Anderson to Parker Berwick in the first quarter and a throw from Anderson to Keagan Vaira with 58 seconds remaining in the second quarter.

Holden Salivar reached the end zone on a run midway in the third period. Anderson connected with Salivar for the conversion to put the margin at 19-0.

After Plevna got on the scoreboard, the Bulldogs responded with a touchdown pass from Anderson to Berwick with 9:20 left in the contest. Salivar kicked the conversion for a 27-7 advantage.

The Cougars scored at the 6:56 mark, but Vaira returned the ensuing kicko_ all the way down to the Plevna one. Matt Sorenson scored the touchdown for a 33-12 margin.

After Kyn Berry forced a fumble, the Bulldogs added a touchdown when Anderson connected with Vaira.

The Bulldogs will play at Savage on Saturday, Sept. 26. Kicko_ is 7 p.m.
