Lustre Boys Beat Mavericks

Lustre’s boys’ basketball squad accounted for 50 first-half points and defeated North Country, 73-34, at home on Friday, Jan. 30.

The Lions jumped out to a 22-6 lead in the first quarter and held a 50-13 half-time advantage.

Joel Reddig topped the scoring with 21 points. Also reaching double figures were Johnslee Pierre with 15 and Diek Olfert with 10 points.

Rounding out the scoring were Cam Reddig with eight, Prestyn Klatt with seven, Hadden Olfert with five and Chris Traeholt with five points.

Lustre’s girls’ basketball team lost at home against North Country by a 57-32 final on Friday, Jan. 30.

Lauryn Holzrichter led the Lions with 10 points.

Also scoring for Lustre were Samantha Neufeld with eight, Kencia Brown with five, Hannah Brown with four, Sidney Klatt with three and Harlo Reddig with two points.

Leading the Mavericks were CharLee McColly with 14 and Gracie Wasson with 11 points.
