Man Dies In Camper Fire

An adult male died in a camper fire in Poplar on Friday, Dec. 26.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office reports that authorities were called to the fire on the 400 block of G. Street East at 8:48 p.m.

The Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice was the primary law enforcement at the scene. Responding to the fire were the Poplar Volunteer Fire Department and Poplar ambulance service.

The identity of the male is not yet confirmed. The deceased man had been sent for autopsy as of presstime Monday.
