Red Hawks Drop Contests To Fusion, Lustre

Froid/Lake dropped a 4729 decision against Richey/ Lambert in boys’ basketball play on Friday, Dec. 19.

The Red Hawks were down by just a 9-7 margin after the first quarter, but the Fusion ran off 22 points in the second period for a 31-12 halftime advantage.

Richey/Lambert held a 4122 lead after three quarters of play. Top scorers for the Red Hawks were Rylan Young with nine, Cody Olson with eight and Carson Aasheim with six points.

Also scoring were Teegan Fossum with three, Aaron Orozco with two and Eduardo Orozco with one.

Leading the Fusion were Curtiss Mullin and Quaid Marshall with 10 points each.

Lustre Christian boys’ basketball squad posted an 84-19 victory over Froid/Lake on Thursday, Dec. 18.

The Lions jumped out to a 31-0 advantage in the first quarter.

Lustre added 30 more points in the second period for a 61-7 lead at the half.

Reaching double figures for the Lions were Joel Reddig with 18, Cam Reddig with 14, Johnslee Pierre with 14 and Hadden Olfert with 13 points.

Carsen Kelm scored nine points for the Red Hawks.

Rounding out the scoring were Young with three, E. Orozco with three, Easton Marottek with three and Cody Olson with one point.
