Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 152 calls during Oct. 13-20.

The calls included the following: Oct. 21

Deputies, the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice and the Bureau of Indian Affairs took part in the execution of a search warrant for a vehicle. Josh Primanau, 31, of Williston, N.D., was charged with criminal possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, having front side window tinting and no mud flaps. Results of the search are still pending.

Deputies responded to Brockton for a report from an adult male of arson and larceny. The investigation is still pending.

Oct. 22

Deputies investigated the report of a contempt of court violation regarding an inmate having a prohibited conversation about a case. The information was forwarded to the county attorney.

Oct. 23

Deputies supervised a civil standby in Poplar regarding custody of children. The children were exchanged safely.

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ when during a traffic stop, the tribal officer noticed drug paraphernalia. The individual, who is on probation, passed a drug test, but he broke his court-ordered curfew. He was allowed to walk home.

Oct. 24

Deputies responded to Froid where there was a report of dog neglect.

Oct. 25

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ with serving a warrant in Wolf Point. An adult male was arrested and taken to tribal jail.

Oct. 26

Two deputies, one Wolf Point Police Department officer and three FPTDLJ officers responded to a report of a male hitting someone in the face outside of a residence. Two females and one male were detained. The two females were arrested and taken to tribal jail.

Oct. 27

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ regarding a report of a male sleeping in his truck outside of the Town Pump store. Law enforcement followed the individual and arrested him. He was taken to tribal jail.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s report activity statistics for the past week were: Wolf Point city limits, 21; Wolf Point, rural, seven; Wolf Point FPHA, three; Poplar city limits, 19; Poplar rural, 13; Poplar FPHA Airport Addition, three; Poplar FPHA all other, two; Culbertson town, 10; Culbertson rural, 19; Bainville town, three; Bainville rural, 23; Froid town, one; Mc-Cone County, five; Williams County, one; Brockton town, seven; Brockton rural, four; Fort Kipp, 11; total, 152.
