Red Hawks Defeat Wildcats, MonDak

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks posted a straight set volleyball victory in Plentywood on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

The Red Hawks earned a 25-18, 25-23, 25-10, win.

Froid/Lake used kills by Joelle Davidson and Isabelle Nordwick to gain a 23-17 advantage in the first set. Plentywood stayed close at 24-18 before the Red Hawks took the set.

In the second game, the Red Hawks trailed by a 23-22 margin. Aces by Nordwick put Froid/Lake ahead by a 2423 margin.

The Red Hawks ended the set on a kill by J. Davidson.

The serving of Laytyn Davidson helped Froid/Lake gain an 11-6 lead in the third set. A kill by Nordwick put the score at 13-6.

Nordwick served aces to put the Red Hawks up by a 17-7 margin. J. Davidson accounted for a kill and an ace for a 20-8 lead.

The serving of Avery Johnson and a kill by Atley Jensen put the score at 24-9 en route to a 25-10 victory.

Froid/Lake then kept winning as the Red Hawks downed MonDak by a 2518, 25-19, 19-25, 25-23, final on Thursday, Sept. 25.

The Red Hawks fell to Savage by a 9-25, 6-25, 19-25, margin on Friday, Sept. 26.
