Track Athletes Score In Havre

Athletes from Wolf Point, Poplar and Frazer were among the competitors during a track meet in Havre on Saturday, April 5.

Sean Hamilton led Wolf Point’s boys by placing third in the shot put at 41-7, sixth in the discus at 123-9 and eighth in the javelin at 129-2.

At the JV level, Dreyson Clark finished fifth at 2:42.11. The 400-meter relay team featuring James Corpron, Dustin Oleyte, Furious Martell and Ryan White Horse took sixth with a time of 1:04.35.

Highlights for Wolf Point’s girls included Amirah Oleyte finishing sixth in the 200 at 29.10 seconds, Adalynn Smith placing eighth in the 400 at 1:07.09 and Ma’Kenzie Jackson taking eighth in the discus at 92-4. The 400-meter relay team consisting of Navella Weeks, Oleyte, Harper Weeks and A. Smith placing eighth at 55.40 seconds. Taking ninth was Amya Martinez in the shot put.

In the JV division, Cadence Bouldin finished first in the 800 at 2:56.51 and first in the 1600 at 6:57.09. Placing in the high jump were Mattie Azure in fourth and Teagan Williams in sixth. Kaleigha Laverdure took ninth in the shot put.

Placing for Poplar’s boys at the varsity level were Wilder Bearcut with a seventh in the 300-meter hurdles at 48.69 seconds and Raylando Red Eagle in eighth for the 3200 at 12:46.71.

For Poplar’s JVs, Jaycee Feuerherm took seventh in the 400 at 1:06.81.

Poplar’s Madison Knowlton finished first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 20.56 seconds at the JV level.

Frazer’s Gabe Beston finished third in the 3200 at 11:33.12 and sixth in the 1600 at 5:18.55.

In the girls’ division, Frazer’s Noelani Sibley earned seventh place in the 3200 with a time of 16:52.99.
