Ricker Wins Honor In Dribble Challenge

Sophia Ricker, a seventh- grader from Wolf Point, brought heart, enthusiasm and passion for the game to this year’s 127 Sports Intensity’s Dribble 1,000 Challenges.

Ricker placed as the division runner-up for seventh- eighth grade girls with 513 minutes logged.

She has been busy traveling and playing a significant amount of basketball during the challenge period. Her commitment to improving her game showed in every moment she spent on the court.

Mike Schmidt, athletic director at Fairfield Public Schools, said, “As the coordinator of 127 Sports Intensity, I was particularly impressed by the videos she submitted, which showed her putting in real work at home, at the gym, and on the road — both in practices and games. That kind of effort, joy, and follow-through is what this challenge is all about.”
