Runners Place At Mountain West Classic

Runners from Wolf Point and Poplar were among the competitors at the large Mountain West Classic in Missoula on Saturday, Sept. 19. Poplar’s boys finished in 19th place with 595 points. The top teams were Bozeman, Helena and Hardin.

Jaycee Hilkemann finished in seventh place with a time of 16:09.5.

Other results for Poplar’s boys were Jayden Eder in 86th at 17:35.2, Issac Irizarry in 177th at 18:35.9, Mickey Failing in 179th at 18:36.9, Dustin Smith in 238th at 19:05.8, Ryder Olson in 307th at 19:45.4 and Quinton Eder in 383rd at 21:04.9.

Poplar’s girls’ team finished in 49th place with 1,238 points. The top three teams were Helena, Bozeman and Gallatin County.

Kellyn Azure took 177th place with a time of 22:35.2.

Other finishes for the Indians were Amelia Weeks in 213th at 23:07.4, Harley Daniels in 285th at 23:59.9, Audrey Swallers in 303rd at 25:05.8, Liberty Boadle in 336th at 27:02.5 and Kelbee Redstone in 401st at 27:59.4.

Wolf Point’s boys took 51st in the team standings with 1,423 points.

Kolter Berglee finished in 182nd place at 18:38.7. Reilly Rees was 290th at 19.34.0 and Keydon Beston placed 293rd at 19:35.4.

Kayeiko Villaluz was 429th at 22:33.4 and Ezekiel Payne took 443rd at 24:28.5.

Running for Wolf Point’s girls were Layla Headdress in 222nd place at 23:13.1 and Shoni Blount in 418th place at 34:29.7.
