Indians Lose To Culbertson

Poplar’s football team lost by a 55-20 final against Culbertson during conference action in Poplar on Friday, Sept. 18.

Trailing by a 43-0 margin in the third quarter, the Indians got on the scoreboard when quarterback Keilen Erickson accounted for a 16-yard touchdown pass with 3:48 left in the period.

Poplar scored again when Houston Eder took a quick pass from Erickson and raced 70 yards for a touchdown with 7:21 remaining.

Poplar’s final touchdown came on a two-yard run by Anthony Youngman with five minutes left.

The Indians have a road game against MonDak on Saturday, Sept. 26. Poplar then has its homecoming game against Forsyth on Friday, Oct. 2.
