FFA Students Win Leadership Honors

Area FFA students earned honors at the district leadership development competition in Sidney held on Monday, Feb. 9.

The all-star parliamentary procedure selections were Culbertson’s Ayden Ator as chair, Bainville’s Rowan Wilson, Culbertson’s Ivy Colvin, Bainville’s Azure Mahoney, Richey’s Izak Veverka and Richey’s Jacqueline Barnhart.

Culbertson’s Colvin earned first and qualified for state in extemporaneous speaking. Gavyn Harrison placed sixth in the event.

Culbertson’s Harper Anderson placed second and qualified for state in creed speaking. Anna Steppler took fifth in creed speaking.

Ator, Payton Labatte, Felixe Becker and Colvin took sixth for farm agribusiness management team.

Froid’s farm agribusiness management team consisting of Lilly Johnson, Leah Murray, Haven Martensen and Jordyn Breuer placed second. Placing as individuals were Johnson in fifth, Murray in sixth, Martensen in seventh and Breuer in ninth.

Johnson earned second place in prepared public speaking.

Eva Houchen took seventh place in employment skills. Trinity Gregor was eighth in extemporaneous speaking.

Bainville’s Logan Telck took ninth in extemporaneous speaking.

Tenley Berwick earned first in star district green hand and seventh in creed speaking.

Scarlet Mahoney placed first in junior creed speaking.

Addison Hansen placed third and Azure Mahoney was 10th in employment skills. Bainville earned first for parliamentary procedure and second for conduct of chapter meetings. Bainville took second for leadership sweepstakes and fourth for farm and agribusiness management team. Wilson took 10th for farm and agribusiness management.
