Cowboys Knock Off MonDak, 65-53

The Culbertson Cowboys stayed in second place for the District 2C standings with a 65-53 victory over MonDak on Friday, Feb. 6.

After leading by a 28-21 half-time margin, the Cowboys scored 20 points in the third quarter to increase their lead to 48-35 in the third quarter.

Brooks Solem accounted for 33 points for the Cowboys. Ian Snyder also enjoyed a strong game with 19 points.

Also scoring for Culbertson were Cal Steppler with eight and Cord Snyder with five.

Solmen grabbed nine rebounds while C. Snyder had seven rebounds. Team leaders in steals were Maurico Mena with five, Solem with four and I. Snyder with four.

The Cowboys will host Bainville on Friday, Feb. 13.
