Culbertson Drops Games In Fairview

Culbertson dropped both non-conference games at Fairview on Saturday, Jan. 3.

The Cowboys fell by a 5041 final.

Culbertson held a 22-21 half-time lead, but Fairview tied the game, 35-35, in the third quarter.

The Warriors outscored Culbertson by a 15-6 margin in the fourth period.

Reaching double figures for the Cowboys were Plenny Williams with 13, Brooks Solem with 13 and Cal Steppler with 10 points.

Also scoring were Cord Snyder with four and Kaden Featherston with a point.

Leading Fairview were Elliot Thompson with 16 and Keegan Skogas with 13 points.

In the girls’ contest, Fairview posted a 40-23 victory.

The Warriors jumped out to a 13-5 lead in the first quarter and held a 17-9 half-time lead.

Fairview increased the margin to 31-17 in the third quarter.

Emma Berwick scored nine points for the Cowgirls.

Also scoring were Kalia Featherston with four, Ella Anderson with three, Payton Labatte with two, Ivy Colvin with two, Aeryn Ator with two and Anna Steppler with one.

Macy Tjelde scored 19 points for Fairview.

Culbertson will host Mon-Dak on Friday, Jan. 9, and travel to Brockton on Saturday, Jan. 10.
