Bainville Sweeps Games In Wibaux

Bainville won both the boys’ and girls’ basketball contests held in Wibaux on Saturday, Jan. 3.

In the boys’ game, the Bulldogs earned a 61-36 victory.

Bainville took a 10-3 lead in the first quarter and held a 29-13 half-time advantage.

The Bulldogs added 18 more points in the third quarter for a 47-27 lead.

Parker Berwick accounted for 34 of Bainville’s points. Evan Anderson added 13 points.

Also scoring were Kaiden Holmes with five, Charles Johnston with three, Rowan Wilson with two, Lane Giese with two and Haedyn Wills with two.

Alec Helvik scored 12 points for the Longhorns.

Bainville’s girls jumped out to a 10-1 lead in the first quarter and downed Wibaux by a 43-20 final.

The Bulldogs held a 22-3 half-time lead.

Addison Hansen led the Bulldogs with 13 points.

Also scoring were Jaylynn Bjorge with eight, Lila Butikofer with eight, Hailey Berwick with five, Annalyce Sorenson with four and Chandi Johnson with three points.
