Runners from Culbertson/ Bainville and Froid/Lake faced a challenging course but fared well at the Frazer Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 25.

Culbertson/Bainville’s girls placed third in the team division with 39 points. The top two teams were Harlem with 17 and Poplar with 26.

Anna Steppler led the way with a fourth-place showing with a time of 21:59.4. Wolf Point’s Cali Gorder won the race at 20:37.9.

Audrey Swallers of Culbertson/ Bainville placed 11th with a time of 22:52.3.

Rebekah Ellerkamp took 31st at 25:15.2. Jade Lone Bear was 45th at 27:56.8.

Froid/Lake’s Leah Murray took 52nd and qualified for the state meet with a time of 29:37.6.

Culbertson /Bainville’s team took eighth in the boys’ division with 79 points.

Cal Steppler of Culbertson/ Bainville finished in 15th place with a time of 18:29.3. The winning time was 16:13.00 by Harlem’s Ethan Walker.

Arie Purvis of Culbertson/ Bainville took 42nd at 21:01.02. Gunner Glas was 52nd at 22:08.7.

Soren Batt placed 62nd at 23:48.6. Logan Telck took 68th at 25:35.9.

Lane Bakken led Froid/ Lake by taking 34th place with a time of 20:18.2.

Bryce Murray ran the course in 22:07.4 for 51st place.

Teams will compete at the Glasgow Invitational at Fort Peck on Saturday, Oct. 4.
