Runners Place At Brockton Meet

The Culbertson/Bainville girls’ team captured first place in the team standings during the meet in Brockton on Friday, Sept. 19.

Culbertson scored 12 points while Circle was second with 16 and Brockton took third with 18.

Anna Steppler of Culbertson/ Bainville ran the hilly course in 22:37.4 for second-place honors at the meet. Bella Petersen placed sixth with a time of 25:38.9.

Rebekah Ellerkamp finished in 12th place with a time of 26:24.4. Jade Lone-Bear was 22nd at 28:24.1.

Froid/Lake’s Leah Murray finished in 30th place at 31:22.4.

In the boys’ division, Culbertson/ Bainville took sixth place in the team standings with 61 points. Williston Trinity Christian topped the field with 12 points.

Culbertson’s Cal Steppler finished in fifth place at 19:28.8. Plentywood’s Dean Sampsen took first at 18:14.2.

Arlie Purvis of Culbertson/ Bainville took 26th at 22:52.2.

Gunner Glas placed 36th at 24:33.4. Soren Batt finished in 45th place at 28:28.0.

Froid/Lake’s senior Lane Bakken finished in 13th place with a time of 21:27.7.

The teams will compete in Frazer on Thursday, Sept. 25.
