Area Runners Compete At Longest Dam Race
Wolf Point’s Peyton Summers ran to first-place honors in the 10K during the Longest Dam Race held at Fort Peck on Saturday, June 21.
Summers finished with a time of 33:48.7. Grant Schillinger of Vida took fifth at 47:05.5 Wolf Point’s John Wetsit placed seventh at 51:42.7. Wolf Point’s Darryl Ricker took 13th in the men’s division at 1:04:28.4.
In the women’s division, Circle’s Rachel Gebhardt was the winner at 43:54.8.
Poplar’s Cali Gorder finished third at 45:17.3.
In the 5K race for males, Wolf Point’s Coleman Hilkemann placed 11th with a time of 22:01.3. Brockton’s Daniel Segubiense was 13th at 24:15.4.
Wolf Point’s Stayton Shumway placed 19th at 26:11.8. Poplar’s Evan Cummins finished 23rd at 29:26.2. Frazer’s Jamin Olfert took 27th at 35:36.5. Wolf Point’s Luke Summers placed 29th at 36:45.2.
In the female 5K race, Poplar’s Caydee Gorder placed fifth with a time of 23:08.0. Brockton’s Braelynn Demarrias finished ninth at 24:25.7.
Poplar’s Alara Cooper ran to 13th place at 27:02.7. Wolf Point’s Stacey Summers placed 24th at 30:53.4. Wolf Point’s Crystal Decoteau was 34th at 38:13.8.
