Track Athletes Compete At Glendive Shriners’ Meet


Track athletes from Wolf Point and Poplar were unable to score any points at the Shriners Invitational in Glendive on Friday, April 25, but they did put together some solid efforts.
AnnaLeigh Matejovsky cleared a personal best of 8-6 to take seventh in the pole vault. Adalynn Smith ran a personal best time of 1:03.77 in the 400-meter dash to finish eighth. The 1600-meter relay team consisting of Amirah Oleyte, Cadence Bouldin, Navella Weeks and Smith took ninth.
Best showings for Wolf Point’s boys were Sean Hamilton with a 12th in the discus at 119-10 and 15th in the javelin at 135-9.
Reilly Rees ran to personal best times in the 800, 1600 and 3200. Ma’Kenzie Jackson had personal bests in the shot put and discus.
Other personal bests for the Wolves were Kaleah Whitebear in the shot put, Harper Weeks in the 300-meter hurdles, N. Weeks in the 200 and Oleyte in the 200.
Highlights for Poplar’s boys included Walker Burshia taking eighth in the shot put at 42-3 and Ryder Olson with a personal best of 18-5 in the long jump.
Personal bests for the Indians at the meet were Lilliana O’Neal with a mark of 28-8 in the shot put, Alara Cooper with a time of 14:17.68 in the 3200, Journey Gourneau with a time of 6:09.44 in the 1600 and a time of 2:52.52 n the 800, Kelbee Redstone at 3:01.57 in the 800, Emilyana Meyers at 1:13.90 in the 400 and 15.47 in the 100, Dezzi Scott at 37.9 in the 200, Keilen Erickson at 133-1 in the javelin and Jayden Eder at 5:30.97 in the 1600 and 11:57.27 in the 3200.
