Bushman Looks Forward To Serving Country

Wolf Point High School senior Logan Bushman has his mind set to continue his family’s tradition after he graduates from high school.

Bushman plans to head for basic training with the Montana National Guard.

“I want to serve my country anyway possible,” Bushman said.

His family tradition includes uncles who served in the Army and Marines as well as a great-grandfather who served in the Navy.

“Military has always been a part of my family,” Bushman noted. “I’m next in line for it.”

He said his role model is his uncle Frank Corne, who is a former Marine and a combat veteran.

After three years with the Montana National Guard, Bushman plans to re-enlist with the Marines. His hope is to become a combat medic.

“I want to become a field surgeon through the Harvard Medical School,” he said.

He is currently going to school with the goal of bulking up.

As far as his favorite class in Wolf Point, Bushman said, “Anything I could get my hands on.” He mentioned shop classes and ag welding as favorites.

His favorite teacher is government instructor Jerry Worley.

I’ve always been fascinated with government and history,” Bushman said.

He has attended schools in Wolf Point throughout his life.

“I like how there are opportunities hidden away,” Bushman said of Wolf Point. “Opportunities are around, you just have to have the right eyes to find them.”
