Cowboys Post League Win Over Thunder

The Culbertson Cowboys enjoyed a strong start and downed MonDak, 51-36, on the road on Friday, Jan. 20.

Culbertson jumped out to a 13-4 advantage in the first quarter of the District 2C contest.

The Cowboys held a 22-13 lead at the half and a 36-27 advantage after three quarters of play.

Culbertson tallied 15 points in the fourth quarter to put the game away.

Colin Avance led the Cowboys with 14 points. Bridger Salvevold and Peyton Perkins scored seven points each. Also scoring were Mo Bighorn with six, Nyreece Halvorson with five, Shea Scott with three, Dawson Bergum with three, Mark Kirkaldie with two, Justice Bengochea with two and Donte Eagleboy with two points.

Leading MonDak were Adam Paine with 11 and Thomas Arnson with nine.
