Runners Fare Well At Scobey Meet

The Culbertson/Bainville cross country boys’ team took fourth in the boys’ standings at the Scobey Invitational on Friday, Sept. 9.

Culbertson/Bainville finished with 27 points. The top three teams were Richey/ Lambert with six, Scobey with 23 and Brockton with 24.

Culbertson/Bainville was led by sophomore Dawson Bergum who ran the course in 22:03.26 for seventh place. Senior Maurice Bighorn finished eighth at 22:05.86.

Angel Burciaga took 13th at 23:11.93.

The Culbertson/Bainville girls took third with 29 points. Scobey topped the field with 11 points while Circle accounted for 17 points.

Senior Kayli Olson finished in fifth place with a time of 23:44.38.

Destiny Thompson, a junor, placed 11th at 26:33.06.

Megan Granbois, a senior, placed 13th at 26:44.94. Rebekah Ellerkamp took 14th at 26:46.66. Jade LoneBear placed 26th at 30:21.10.

The squad will compete at the Glasgow Invitational in Fort Peck on Saturday, Sept. 17.
