Jewel Olson Wolf Point High School senior Jewel Olson, pictured with her parents, signed her letter of intent on Tuesday, May 18, to compete in track at Dickinson State University. As a senior, Olson was the district champion in the 100, 200 and 400. She finished first in the 400 and second in the 200 at this year’s Top 10 track meet. Lustre Christian High School held a joyful celebration on Sunday, May 16, as the 2021 commencement was held for six graduates. The class included Josh Brown, Brooke Byers, Ashley O’Hara, Kenny Shema, Braeden Toavs and Tiara Whitmus. In her salutatory address, Tiara Whitmus noted how the other graduates have impacted her life. She said she considers them all sisters and brothers in Christ.

The Frontier School Board voted to purchase a modular home to use for teachers’ housing during the board’s monthly meeting on Thursday, May 13. “We have to do something to entice teachers to come here,” board chair Therese Long said. “I think it will be beneficial.” Trustees approved up to $70,000 for the purchase of the 14 by 40 Skyline home that will be placed on the school

The Wolf Point School District wants to hear from community members about their thoughts regarding curriculum goals. Sarah Chambers, curriculum director and instructional leader, says she needs feedback on three topics: What’s going well, what is needed and parent/community development available. One of the goals is improving Wolf Point students’ success rate in testing. Recent results
