Woman Dies In Train Incident

The Wolf Point Police Department and other local emergency services responded to a call at the train tracks at 1:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 26. Roosevelt County Sheriff/ Coroner Jason Frederick reports that Justine Shields, 50, died in the incident. No further information was available.

Third-grade students at Southside School were able to celebrate their work with an art show Tuesday, May 24. The art show by the HEART program aims to improve and maintain students’ attitude toward education. 2021. Two contracts, each in excess of over $80,000, were let without going through the formal bid process. The county’s official response regarding the gravel purchases is that the pit is the only one the county could get gravel from for the east end of the county that is within 50 miles. There is a limited amount of gravel on the east end of the county. The pit is already DEQ approved.
