Lustre’s boys’ basketball team edged Plentywood, 4948, in non-conference action held in Glasgow on Saturday, Dec. 4. The Lions fell behind 12-4 in the first quarter and trailed 20-19 at intermission. Lustre accounted for 17 points in the third quarter to earn a 36-33 advantage. Top scorers for the Lions were Elijah Lenihan with 16, Cayden Klatt with 12 and Kolden Hoverland with 11 points.

Lustre Christian’s boys’ basketball team exploded for 78 points and defeated Turner, 78-33, in its season-opening game in Glasgow on Friday, Dec. 3. The Lions jumped out to an 18-7 lead in the first quarter and increased the margin to 45-15 at the half. Top scorers for Lustre included Kolden Hoversland with 18, Jasiah Hambira with 14, Elijah Lenihan with 13 and Braden Ewing with 10.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is looking at a handful of new strategies to better manage elk populations and improve quality hunting opportunities on public lands.
