Wolf Point native Tori Nygard placed sixth at last week’s Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference track championship meet with a throw of 39.48 meters in the javelin. She is a sophomore at Minot State University. Nygard is a 2020 graduate of Wolf Point High School. During her career in Wolf Point, she placed seventh in the discus and 10th in the javelin during her junior season.

The Montana High School Association executive board has announced the selection of Brian Michelotti as the next MHSA executive director. Michelotti will replace Mark Beckman, current executive director, who will retire on June 30, after 25 years of service with the organization. Lustre Christian, Frazer and Frontier all competed at the District 3C junior high track meet in Glasgow on Wednesday, May 10. Three track athletes from Wolf Point placed for Dickinson State University during the North Star Outdoor Track and Field Championships last week. Jewel Olson finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.34 and sixth in the 200 at 27.84 seconds.
